Your Journey to Becoming a Professional Pilot

Find out if being a pilot is your true passion! Join us for a discovery flight over San Francisco Bay and get a free FAA Logbook, along with 1 hour of ground instruction and 1 hour of flight time included.

The cost of learning to fly is approximately $24K for a private pilot license, to upwards of $65K for a commercial certificate. There are independent financing options available, as well as scholarships to help you in your journey, and we're happy to point you in the right direction.

At TrexAir, after ground school, you set your training times. You book your flights during your availability. Our instructors simply add their name to your reservation.

If you aspire to become a pilot and fly on your own, this is all you need. The following estimates may vary, as some individuals may finish faster than others. However, the good news is that you only pay for what you need. Our program is designed to keep you on track and help you finish quickly.

Now that you have your commercial rating you can start earning money as a pilot. One of the most rewarding ways to do that is to become a CFI and teach other aspiring pilots.

As a CFI/CFII, TrexAir will help you find a flight instructing job in the bay area while you earn income and work on building flight hours towards your airline transport pilot certificate (ATP).
